Terms of Service

1. Agreement to These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Partfolio mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by the independent developer behind Partfolio ("we", "us", or "our").

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your country, you may use the Service only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf.

The Service is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us at hello@partfolio.app.

3. Description of the Service

Partfolio is an inventory app for builders with large LEGO® collections. It helps you map collections, boxes, and drawers; search for parts; print and read QR labels on boxes; build wanted lists; and export missing parts to BrickLink, BrickOwl, or LEGO® Pick a Brick.

The Service is currently available on iPhone and iPad. An Android version is planned but not yet available.

Important: Partfolio tells you which box a part is in. It does not include a map of your room, and it does not calculate the monetary value of your collection.

4. Accounts and Sign-In

To use cloud sync and certain features, you sign in with Sign in with Apple or Google Sign-In through Firebase Authentication. You agree to:

• Provide accurate account information associated with your sign-in provider
• Maintain the security of your Apple or Google account credentials
• Notify us if you suspect unauthorised access to your account

You are responsible for activity under your account.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Partfolio Plus is sold only through Apple in-app purchase in the App Store. This website does not process payments and cannot upgrade your plan.

Subscription terms, billing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds are governed by Apple's terms and the App Store. Price information on this website is provided for transparency only.

The free plan is limited in how your inventory can grow, not in what the app tells you about parts you already track. Scanning QR labels you have already printed stays free on every plan.

6. No Advertising

Partfolio does not display advertising on any plan. We do not use ad networks or sell your data for advertising.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service, except where mandatory law allows
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Use automated systems to access the Service without our prior written consent
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
• Upload or transmit content that is harmful, abusive, or infringing

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms.

8. Camera and QR Labels

The Service uses your device camera to read QR codes on your storage labels and boxes. Image processing for label lookup happens on your device in normal use. The camera is not used to identify individual LEGO parts.

Labels attach to boxes, not individual drawers or collections. You need an ordinary printer and sticker paper to create QR labels the camera can read.

9. Your Data and Content

You retain ownership of the inventory data you enter. Your inventory is stored on your device. With Partfolio Plus, a backup copy is stored in your private cloud storage for sync.

You can export your data at any time from Settings → Export Inventory and delete your account from Settings → Privacy & Security → Delete Account, on any plan. See our Privacy Policy and Delete account page for details.

If your Plus subscription ends, your existing cloud backups are not wiped. Local data on your device is not deleted solely because a subscription lapses.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, and documentation, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

11. LEGO® Trademark Disclaimer

Partfolio is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by the LEGO Group.

LEGO® is a trademark of the LEGO Group, which does not sponsor, authorize, or endorse this app. References to LEGO products are for identification purposes only.

12. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates third-party services including:

• Google Firebase (authentication, database, cloud storage for Plus sync)
• Apple (Sign in with Apple, App Store subscriptions)
• Google (Google Sign-In)
• BrickLink, BrickOwl, and LEGO® Pick a Brick when you choose to export or import orders

Your use of those services is subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services or content.

13. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Inventory counts or locations will always be accurate or complete
• Third-party marketplace exports will be accepted without modification
• Defects will be corrected within a particular timeframe

14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR EUR 50, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

15. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (in whole or in part) at any time.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes may be communicated through the app or this website. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

16. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account through the in-app settings described on our Delete account page.

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if required by law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Italy, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence grant you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.

If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
